2-ply double-sided cowhide and deerskin bowling

Made with two layers to keep the price down.

Crafted a chamois from water-resistant, soft deerskin and thick, firm cowhide nubuck.

Brown is cowhide nubuck, approximately 2mm thick.
Black is deerskin, approximately 0.8mm thick.
The more you use it, the softer it becomes and the better it fits in your hand.

Leather Characteristics:
Cowhide Nubuck:
Soft, easy to wipe, and thick, so it absorbs a lot of oil, but it is expensive. It has firmness for holding and wiping, making it a good match.

Deerskin (Sheepskin):
Soft, water-resistant, and has fine fibers, so it absorbs oil well and is easy to wipe. Because the leather is thin, it needs frequent washing or an oil-absorbing layer on the back. It stretches easily as it has no grain side. It is difficult to obtain and expensive due to low circulation.

The subtle difference in slip (wiping feel) means you can wipe with whichever you prefer.
