Ten no Tsubu was developed over 15 years starting in 1995. The name was inspired by the strength of the ears of rice growing straight towards the sky when they emerge, and the image of each grain ripening abundantly with the blessings of heaven.
It has become a symbol of recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake.
