These are seeds for chives and perilla (shiso) that have been organically grown on our farm for over 20 years without pesticides.

Chive seeds: 100 seeds
Green perilla seeds: 100 seeds
Since these are small seeds, we'll include a few extra as spares.

The best time to sow chives is in March, April, and September.
They will be thin at first, but will grow thicker with repeated harvesting. They multiply abundantly every year!
You can harvest them many times!
They are delicious stir-fried, in blanched dishes, or as chive soy sauce (nira shoyu) (^^)

The green perilla has already sprouted. It grows large every year. It's great for somen noodles, perilla pesto (shiso genovese), and as a natural preservative in bento boxes, acting as a decorative leaf. It's also highly nutritious.
At the end of summer, you can harvest the perilla seeds and make tsukudani (simmered seasoned seaweed or other ingredients). It's very delicious ?

Both are relatively easy to grow.
They can also be grown in planters.
They sprout every year from fallen seeds, so they multiply more and more, making them suitable vegetables for home gardens.
