Red onions are red not only on the surface but also in their inner skin. However, the flesh itself is white, creating beautiful layers when sliced.

Recommended sowing times for onions are:
For warm regions: Very early varieties in early September, early varieties in late September, mid-season varieties in early October.

★ How to Eat Red Onions

They are often thinly sliced, briefly soaked in water, and used raw in salads.

They are also sweet and delicious when grilled, but their appearance is not as appealing. Also, be aware that when cooked in stews or soups, the color may bleed out and tint the broth.
Conversely, anthocyanins react with vinegar to produce a vibrant red color, making them recommended for pickles.
