Antique Maru Obi, Karaori Weave, Pure Silk, Double-Sided Full Pattern

This is an elaborate antique maru obi (round obi) with patterns on both sides throughout.
It is a substantial obi, likely made with karamono weaving, and believed to be from the early Showa period. It appears to have no signs of wear from being tied.

I purchased this over a decade ago at a certain famous antique kimono shop in Ginza.
I bought it with the intention of altering it into a fukuro obi or Nagoya obi to wear, but it is such a magnificent maru obi that I couldn't bring myself to alter it, and it has been stored in my paulownia wood chest ever since.

[Condition]
⚫︎ Due to long-term storage, there may be some slight scuffing or fold creases near the edges, but there is very little dirt or damage, and it is in good condition for an antique.
