⚫︎ Antique French Violin Bow / JTL (2)

⚫︎An Old French Violin Bow = J.Thibouville-Lamy
No.144

This is my second JTL bow.
Inscriptions: NICOLAS DUCHENE
Size: 4/4
Actual Measurement: 738mm (to the end of the screw)
Weight: 62.8g
Balance Point: Around 260mm
Fittings: Nickel Silver
While there is no certificate of authenticity, I purchased this bow from a renowned overseas dealer who identified it as a JTL bow.
It is possible to obtain a certificate, but I have not done so due to the cost and hassle involved.
As this is a piece over 100 years old, it is not in perfect condition with no scratches, like a new item.
The wrapping is believed to be original from that era.
The head carving has a sharp and very beautiful impression, reminiscent of BAZIN.
It seems to produce a bright sound.
There are scratches around the frog, but they are consistent with its age. (Please refer to the images.)
There is a slight warp to the right (about 1.5mm) near the head, but I don't believe it's problematic. If you are concerned, you can straighten it by applying heat.
(Please refer to the images for these external details.)
I cannot accurately describe its playability, but it grips the strings much more smoothly than inferior bows.
I am parting with some of my violin bows that I have collected with enthusiasm, but this is not a bow to be sold off cheaply, so you should be able to derive satisfaction from owning it. I believe it can also be held as an asset after purchase.
It will be shipped with protective measures, such as being placed in a PVC pipe.
Please make payment within one week.
I promise to ship within one week after payment is completed.
I will be listing other bows sequentially, so I appreciate your kind attention.
(Incidentally, I have another JTL bow with the exact same inscription. Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing them as a brother set.)
Returns are not accepted to prevent fraudulent exchanges.

*Recently, I have seen images of my instruments being used on fake websites for sale. These are unrelated to me. I have added a watermark to the images as a preventative measure.
