【For Pickup Only by Sukitokimeki Tokisu】SUZUKI No.180 Contrabass

This is a listing for a Nagoya Suzuki 4/4 size double bass (No. 180).
Although manufactured in 1988, this instrument is in excellent condition, showing no noticeable dings or scratches, and does not feel its age.
According to the specifications, only the top is solid spruce, while the back and sides are plywood (sycamore). However, the back and sides are finished beautifully, and the original retail price at the time of manufacture was ¥630,000 (tax included). Unlike lower-priced Suzuki models, this instrument, likely due to the carefully selected materials, produces a rich, resonant sound with abundant overtones.

There was a partial missing part in the endpin socket, which has been repaired using a part from a similar model. (The end rubber is a substitute, not the original.) The instrument is strung with Belcanto orchestra strings (used), and a Grazioso soft case (CBA-1 moss green, new) acquired separately will be included. If you do not need the soft case, we will refund ¥20,000. Please let us know in advance.
For reasons unknown, No. 180 models in good condition seem to appear on the used market. This instrument is one of them.

We cannot arrange for shipping through a professional moving company, so we request that you **pick up the item directly** in principle. Please come to my home in eastern Sakata City or a designated location in western Osaki City (Miyagi Prefecture).
For locations within Yamagata Prefecture or nearby prefectures that are not too far (e.g., south of Akita City in Akita Prefecture, north of Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture, north of Niigata City in Niigata Prefecture, etc.), we can deliver to a nearby designated location for the actual cost of fuel and other expenses. If you are along the Tohoku Shinkansen line, we can also deliver to a station near you for the actual transportation costs. (We can even accommodate pick-ups in Tokyo, such as at Ueno Station.)
We also welcome trial playing. Trial playing can be arranged at my home or a designated location in western Osaki City, the same as pick-up locations. If you wish to try the instrument in Osaki City, there will be a venue rental fee of ¥500 per person (plus ¥500 for each accompanying person).
