1. Material Brand Name
Donati (also known as Silvacane) (France) This is a historic brand of cane that began production in 1932. It is sourced from the Sauvebonne valley near Hyères, France.
Donati is a popular choice in Europe, known for its average hardness and density.

3. Reed Shaper
Rieger KOR (Tip Width: 15.60mm)
This shaper was developed by Norwegian bassoonist Kristian Oma Ronnes. Its tip width of 15.60mm is slightly narrower than the Thunemann shaper.
The sides of the blade are nearly straight, but slightly convex near the tip, differing slightly from the Thunemann shaper which has a concave curve overall.
This combination appears to provide the stable high-register response and dark, rounded tone quality often desired by principal players.
4. Finished Reed Dimensions
Blade: Approx. 28mm, Tube: Approx. 30mm, Total Reed Length: Approx. 58mm
