Ebisawa Bassoon Reed - Contains Sugar

These reeds are made with a process that retains more sugar content than standard reeds. They showcase the natural characteristics of the material more, and due to the higher sugar content, they may feel sweeter when you first start using them.

How to Wet the Reed
Dip the vibrating surface in water once, then immediately remove it. Play after about 30 seconds (or when the material behind the thread is saturated with water).
Soaking in water will leach out the sugar content, so please be mindful of how you wet the reed to maintain its performance.

Produces a rich tone easily and is easy to control.
