1911 C.G. Conn Cornet - For switching with trumpet

This is a cornet from C.G. Conn, once a major wind instrument manufacturer in America.
It features a luxurious design with beautiful engraving and a gold-plated bell interior.

This cornet was likely made in 1911, making it 114 years old.
It was manufactured shortly after Conn's factory recovered from a fire. This model is based on the previous Perfected Wonder (flagship model) with minor modifications.

The airtightness is excellent. The condition is miraculous for an instrument of this age.
99% of the surface plating remains.
The gold plating inside the bell has thinned considerably, with some areas showing peeling.

The engraving is a beautiful two-tone finish of mirror and satin.

There are some repair marks.
The second valve slide and stop rod show signs of re-soldering.
There are a few small dents on the bell bow.
These do not affect playability in any way.
We have captured as much detail as possible in the photos, so please examine them carefully.

Modern mouthpieces such as Denis Wick or Bach can be used.
Please note that it does not have a trumpet shank.

Although over 110 years old, its intonation balance and tone are superb, and it possesses a warmth different from modern instruments.
This is a museum-quality piece.
