Shingen-bukuro Pouch, Indigo Dye, Returning Large Wheel Design, Made in Shibata City, Niigata Prefecture
Indigo-dyed Shingen-bukuro and dialectal Hand towel from Izumiya Dye Works in Shibata City, Niigata Prefecture, the birthplace of Yasubei Horibe.
Born in 1670 as Yasubei Nakayama, he later became Yasubei Horibe.
This Shingen-bukuro is themed on the festivals of Shibata.
In 2019, it was displayed around the Imperial Palace at the National Festival in Tokyo.
I believe Shintaro Ishihara also participated once.
Although it has never been used, it has been stored for a long time. The Hand towel has stains. Please consider purchasing with the understanding of this.
Thank you for viewing.
