Atari AC Power Supply C016353 9V DC 500mA SPA-4190-1 OEM Vintage 2600 Console

Atari AC Power Supply Adapter C016353 9V DC 500mA SPA-4190-1 OEM Vintage part for the 2600 Console The Atari AC Power Supply Adapter C016353 (also labeled with SPA-4190-1) is the original OEM power supply for the Atari 2600 (also known as the Atari Video Computer System or VCS). It is a 9V DC 500mA unregulated adapter (outputting ~9V under load, higher with no load) with a center-positive barrel connector. This matches the power requirements of the Atari 2600 console, as well as some related Atari peripherals like the XEP80 (80-column card) and SX212 modem. Primary console: Atari 2600 (including variants like 2600JR and CX2600 models). Compatibility Notes: It is not for Atari 8-bit computers (400/800/XL/XE series), which use different power supplies (often 5V or 9V AC at higher wattage). Replacements and third-party versions commonly list compatibility with the 2600 and the mentioned peripherals. This adapter is frequently sold as a vintage OEM part or modern replacement specifically for keeping original Atari 2600 hardware running.
