Takizawa Shrine, located in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.

This shrine, one of only two in Miyagi Prefecture, enshrines the goddess of purification and regeneration, Seoritsuhime (also known as Haraedo no Okami), who removes calamities, as its principal deity.

Takizawa Shrine was originally enshrined near Kameoka Castle, in the area where Kameoka Hachimangu Shrine stands today, during the Kokubun clan's era, even before Date Masamune entered Sendai in the first year of Keicho (1601). However, it was relocated to its current site in the third year of Tenna (1683) during the Edo period by Date Tsunamura, the fourth lord of the Sendai domain.

*Seoritsuhime-no-Mikoto is a goddess of purification and regeneration who washes away sins and impurities, carrying them away on rivers to the sea.
Therefore, she is highly effective as an amulet against bad luck when you feel like you've been unlucky lately or experiencing many negative events.
Due to her nature, she is also adept at improving or resetting your luck by warding off disasters and bringing good fortune.

Seoritsuhime is known as a mysterious deity who appears in the Great Purification Ritual (Oharai no Kotoba) and shrine traditions, but not in myths.
Perhaps this is why Seoritsuhime continues to exude a mysterious charm, as if shrouded in a deep mist.
