Description

Thank you for viewing.

This is a Uma-soroe (12-piece set) received at Kenkun Shrine in Kyoto.

Uma-soroe literally means to line up cavalry and have soldiers march to display military might, similar to modern-day military reviews or parades.
Lord Nobunaga also held a Kyoto Ouma-soroe in February and March of the 9th year of Tensho (1581), inviting Emperor Ogimachi, which involved nearly a thousand cavalry, including samurai and court nobles.

Thank you for your consideration.
