Mizunara Oak - 2nd Year Seedling - 2 Plants - Acorn Seedlings

Mizunara Oak Seedling - 2nd Year - 2 Plants - Acorn Seedlings

2 Mizunara Oak acorn seedlings (Photos 1-3).
These are 2-year-old seedlings that sprouted in Spring 2025 and have overwintered.
New leaves have sprouted vigorously.

Mizunara Oak prefers cold climates and is often found at higher elevations than Konara Oak. The acorns are oval-shaped with a scaly cap, similar to Konara Oak and Mateba Shi Oak.

Konara Oak and Mizunara Oak acorns are very similar, both being oval with scaly caps (Photo 4).
The difference can be identified by the presence or absence of a leaf scar at the base of the parent tree's leaf (Photo 5). The acorns were planted in pots after confirming the presence or absence of the leaf scar on the parent tree.

Seedlings similar to those in Photos 1-3 will be shipped as bare-root plants with plenty of soil, kept moist, via Nekoposu delivery.

The package will be A4 size and approximately 3cm thick, delivered to your mailbox.

Grown without pesticides.
While we pack carefully, please excuse any insect-damaged leaves, soiled leaves, dead leaves, or insect inclusions.

We currently have Konara Oak, Shirakashi Oak, Arakashi Oak, Kunugi Oak, Mateba Shi Oak, Ubamegashi Oak, and other acorn seedlings available (or in preparation).
