? This is 50g of seed paddy from organically grown ancient red rice.
It is from last year's harvest.
This amount is sufficient for home gardening and will yield a good harvest.

? I received the seeds from someone who has been cultivating them using natural farming methods for many years, and I have been growing them myself for 15 years.
They are an open-pollinated, heirloom variety, but the specific breed is unknown.

? This is glutinous rice.
It makes sweet, soft, and very delicious mochi, which I love. ^_^
It's so delicious that I eat it every day in the winter. ^_^
The mochi will be a faint pink color.
If you mix about 10-20% of this rice and make mochi with equal parts red rice and green rice, you will get soft mochi.
Red rice brown rice mochi alone will have a slightly chewy texture.
Both are delicious.
Homemade mochi is truly a luxury.
Mixing it into your regular rice will give it a faint cherry blossom color, and the sweetness and chewy texture will make it even more delicious.
