(Listed as seeds for cultivation.)

■ We will send you 30 seeds of soybeans, harvested from our own seeds.

■ We select beans with a plump shape and almost no wrinkles, but due to the lack of rain during the growing season, some beans have small tears in their skins. Please be aware of this.

■ Cultivated using natural farming methods (no pesticides, no fertilizer, no tilling), and harvested in late autumn of last season (Reiwa 7, 2025).

■ We have been harvesting our own seeds for about 9 years.

■ The recommended sowing period is mid-June to late July, with harvest from November to December.

■ For the past three years, the Kanto region has experienced extreme heat from August to September. Furthermore, there was almost no rain, and it seems that the dryness during the flowering and bean-forming period resulted in only about half the usual harvest. Even if pods formed, the beans did not grow large. Ground temperatures exceeding 35℃ made watering ineffective as the water evaporated quickly. (Since sowing too early results in excessive leaf growth, I sow in early to late July in Kanagawa Prefecture.) This is for your reference in cultivation.

■ While they have a sweet and deep flavor as black soybeans, they are also exceptionally sweet and delicious when harvested early and eaten as edamame.

(Fun facts about black soybeans)
They contain isoflavones, similar to regular soybeans (said to be effective in preventing menopausal symptoms, osteoporosis, and breast cancer). In addition, black soybeans contain polyphenols (anti-aging effects due to antioxidant properties, blood pressure regulation, and anti-metabolic effects), making them a double benefit. Of course, they also provide protein, minerals, and dietary fiber, so I highly recommend them.

◇ If there are no specific requests, we will ship via 4th class mail (no tracking, standard mail).
