This is a packet of Chioggia Beet seeds from our Italian seed series, which features organic, non-GMO heirloom varieties.
These beets are sometimes seen in Japan and have a distinct spiral pattern when sliced.

Sowing Period: March-April, August-September. Harvest in 90 days from sowing!
Germination Rate: 85%
Seed Expiration: 2029 (long-life seeds)
Origin: Spain

It's best to harvest them when they are fresh, tender, and small!
You can grow them larger, but the larger they get, the less moisture they contain.
For cooking, try lightly steaming them or eating them raw, as they are delicious either way!
We recommend a quick boil followed by a hot salad with oil, vinegar, and a pinch of salt.
