Lollo Rossa is a type of sunny lettuce and belongs to the group of non-heading lettuces. It is an Italian vegetable with dark reddish-purple leaf tips and small, ruffled frills.

The name Lollo means curly and Rossa means red, and as the name suggests, its most distinctive feature is the finely frilled, reddish-purple leaf tips.
