Freshly dug sweet potato seedlings are not planted immediately.
Even if the leaves are wilted, as long as the stem's skin is firm, the leaves will appear to die off once, but new leaves will emerge over time.
(Even if they become dry and crispy from sun exposure, they will strive to produce new shoots.)

If you are concerned about wilted leaves upon arrival, please place them in water for about 3 hours before planting. (Soaking the firm stem for too long can cause it to become waterlogged, leading to stem rot and planting failure.)
