Description
Beeswax Balls for Attracting Honeybees - Approx. 50g, Approx. 10 balls
These are beeswax balls containing natural Japanese honeybee honey. The photo is an example of the product.
Since it is unrefined, it contains honey and impurities.
Placing these at the entrance of a beehive is effective for attracting honeybees. Although the impurities make it look dark and unappealing, I personally find it more effective and intentionally use it this way. (It is darker than shown in the photo.)
In my experience, while placing Kinryohen (a pheromone lure) resulted in about a 30% capture rate, using these beeswax balls last year yielded an approximately 80% capture rate, and in some years, all 9 of my hives (100%) were successfully populated. I place about two balls at the entrance and two inside the entrance of each hive. At first, I was skeptical, but in practice, they are truly effective.
Instructions for use will be included.
Recommended for those who are planning to start beekeeping.
The product will be shipped via Nekoposu (a Japanese delivery service).
