Thank you for viewing. This set includes approximately 500ml of Japanese honeybee attractant, approximately 50g of beeswax, approximately 100g of hive debris, and instructions.

☆ Last year, we set up 30 waiting beehives, and achieved a total of 26 captures: 21 natural entries and 5 forced captures.

By applying beeswax to the entrance and inside the ceiling of a beehive for capturing Japanese honeybees, and spraying or brushing on the attractant, you can increase the probability of capturing swarming or wild colonies of Japanese honeybees.

If there is a Japanese honeybee nest near the beehive you are trying to capture, spraying the attractant will attract scout bees with its scent.

Tips for capturing Japanese honeybees:
☆ 1. Proper placement of the beehive.
If they don't enter, changing the location can lead to immediate capture. Site selection is important.

☆ 2. Creating a beehive that scout bees like. New beehives are difficult for them to enter, even with Kinryohen or artificial attractants. Therefore, apply beeswax to the entrance and the inside ceiling of the beehive, and brush on the secret attractant inside the hive.

Japanese honeybees prefer used hives that have been occupied before. Applying beeswax and attractant makes the hive attractive to scout bees.
It can further increase the capture probability when used in combination with Kinryohen (Orchid Bee).

When using the attractant as a spray, it is filtered, but the nozzle may clog. Please clean the nozzle or dilute it with cloth or a brush for application.

Also, during the capture season, dilute the attractant with water about 3 times and spray it around the beehive. Scout bees will be attracted by the scent.
Be careful, as applying the attractant too thickly and not allowing it to dry sufficiently can lead to mold growth or attract ants.

If you will not be using the product immediately upon arrival, please store it in the freezer. If stored at room temperature, mold may grow or it may ferment. When using, thaw it, take out the amount you will use, and if you freeze the remainder, it can be used until around autumn.
