Description
In early September 2025, we catch Asian giant hornets that approach our beehives using a net and immediately soak them in shochu (35% white liquor). This is a dangerous task, but it's safe because we catch them alive without using any pesticides.
Each 450ml bottle contains approximately 40 to 50 hornets.
After a few months, the clear white liquor will change to a light brown to brown color. We hope you enjoy observing this transformation.
Asian giant hornet-infused shochu is said to have medicinal properties, and some people have traditionally drunk it for health, though this is not confirmed.
