Rare! Au Nain Bread Knife, Made in France, Baguette Cutter

Au Nain (Oh Nain / Oh Neen)

French Vintage Guillotine Bread Slicer - Large Size

A rare item that is no longer in production!

This is a vintage bread slicer (guillotine à pain) from the long-established French cutlery manufacturer Au Nain, which is now completely out of production.

This is a large model with a blade length of approximately 40cm (measured) and an effective cutting length of approximately 32cm.
It's a professional-grade model that can cleanly slice a whole long baguette in one go.

Rarity Points
- Au Nain produced this wooden-based guillotine type until around the 1970s, and it is no longer manufactured new (the brand still makes knives, but this type is out of production).
- Especially the large 40cm class models are rare and highly sought after in the vintage market.

Condition
- The blade is clean overall with no chips. The serrated edge still has good sharpness.
- The wooden base has a natural patina from age and light signs of use, but it is sturdy with no cracks or major scratches.
- The metal parts move smoothly, and the blade action is also fine.

Overall, I believe it is in good condition!

Please check the photos as this is a vintage item.

Highly recommended for French bread and baguette lovers, those who want to add a vintage touch to their kitchen, and collectors!
