Wajima-nuri Gold Maki-e Phoenix Design Large Zaisu (Floor Table) Showa Vintage Luxury Lacquer Furniture Original Item Rare

This is a large, low table featuring a black lacquer top from Wajima-nuri, adorned with two phoenixes rendered in gold maki-e.
The entire background is covered in detailed carving, with each feather meticulously expressed in ultra-fine lines, creating a highly elaborate design. It is believed to be a high-class piece of Japanese furniture custom-made for ryokans (traditional inns), high-end restaurants, and affluent individuals around the 1965-1975 period.

Due to Wajima-nuri's characteristic robust base structure (cloth layering + multi-layered base), the tabletop is approximately 5cm thick and substantial. A mark resembling a seal is visible on the tabletop, but as it is difficult to decipher, please consider it as reference information likely indicating a workshop's mark (the artist has not been identified). This is not a mass-produced item but rather a unique piece from a lacquerware studio. The phoenix motif symbolizes prosperity and good fortune, making it an auspicious design that will stand out as a centerpiece in a Japanese-style room or even a modern interior.
