Gifu | Natural Ancient Wood | Single Slab | Tabletop Lightweight & Compact | Torched Urethane Finish

Gifu | Natural Ancient Wood | Single Slab | Tabletop DIY Lightweight & Compact | Charred Urethane Coating

This is a single tabletop made from a 150-year-old cedar tree, estimated to be 150 years old, nurtured by the mountains of Ena City, Gifu Prefecture for 150 years. The history carved into the growth rings of this ancient wood, which simply existed in the mountains, has been transformed into a single tabletop.

[Features]
1. Jidai-yaki (Traditional Charring): A traditional woodworking technique. By charring, it enhances its resistance to rot, insects, and water, making the wood long-lasting. Furthermore, the carbonized surface creates a beautiful dark brown char mark, allowing you to enjoy its unique texture and the changes it undergoes over time.

2. Urethane Coating: Protects the beautiful wood grain from scratches and stains. It forms a strong coating film on the surface, making it highly resistant to scratches and water spots. Maintenance is simple – just a quick wipe with a damp cloth. It's maintenance-free, allowing you to easily enjoy the beauty of wooden furniture for a long time.

A face that cannot be created by mass production seeking uniformity. This is a one-of-a-kind interior where strength and tranquility coexist.
We have made it with a practical size that does not feel oppressive, primarily for those living in urban apartments and condominiums.

Place real time in your usual space. Just doing that will change the atmosphere of the room.
