UK Antique Old Wood Nesting Tables (Set of 3) - Stackable Wooden Side Tables / Display Shelves

A set of three antique wooden nesting tables, discovered in the English countryside. Circa 1950s. Oak.

These nesting tables feature beautiful leg designs characteristic of antique furniture. Nest refers to the ability of these tables to fit inside one another, allowing them to be compactly stored when not in use.

They would be perfect as plant stands or bedside tables. You can arrange them stacked together for a unified look, or separate them to create individual decorative accents. Their slender legs also complement the popular Scandinavian furniture style.

The baluster legs, shaped like vases, are particularly striking. Baluster is an architectural term for the vertical posts of a balustrade, and this design has been used for furniture legs, applied ornaments, and chair backs since the early 1600s.

Along with barley twist legs, this is a representative design of British antiques.
