Installation Precautions
● Do not use in areas with heavy foot traffic, water exposure, or severe soiling.
● Avoid using on uneven or soft surfaces such as carpets or existing tatami mats.
● Do not adhere to the floor with double-sided tape or similar adhesives. This may damage the floor surface or the product upon removal.
● Do not drag the product across the floor. The adhesive used to secure the tatami surface may transfer to the floor.
● Do not install with frame materials. This may cause gaps due to expansion and contraction, or the product may not fit within the frame.
● Do not install immediately after waxing the floor. The back of the product may adhere to the floor surface.
● Do not install in locations constantly exposed to extreme heat, humidity, or direct sunlight. This may cause deformation.
● Do not use on floor heating or hot carpets. Trapped heat may cause the product or flooring to deform or degrade.
Installation Steps
① Remove dust from the floor surface.
② Determine the placement and lay the mats on the floor.
③ We recommend a checkerboard pattern (alternating the direction of the tatami weave).
