Chiba Pickup Only: Wooden Mortar and Pestle Set, Antique Folk Tool, Mochi Making, Antiques
99.66 $
Description
This is a set of a wooden mortar and pestle that was found in an old traditional Japanese house (kominka).
The pestle is in relatively good condition and is solidly made.
The mortar has cracks, signs of use due to age, and rust on the iron parts,
but it is solid overall and still has plenty of character.
We recommend this item for those who can use it with repairs or restoration in mind,
or for those who would enjoy it as an antique tool for display, store fixtures,
or as kominka-style interior decor.
It possesses a substantial feel and presence that cannot be found in modern products.
