The photos were taken with the whetstone wet.
This is a natural whetstone from Takashima, Shiga Prefecture.
A faint crow pattern is visible on the upper half.
*See photo 2
It finishes with a slightly brighter, cloudy polish on the base metal, and produces good mud.
The feel of use is slightly hard to hard. Mud came out well without nagura, but please use a diamond to fully bring out the mud.
*Please be careful when using, as there is a slight feeling of contact on the left edge's groove.
The surface is flat on more than half of the bottom, but it is wobbly.
Please fix it to a wooden base or place a cloth underneath before use.
The shape is slightly distorted, so we are offering it at a special price!
Please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about the condition.
Thank you for your understanding.
