These are the Sugi Ten-Kezuri chopsticks with obi wrapping, a set of 5, from Hashikatsu Honten in Kanda, Tokyo, a long-established high-class Japanese restaurant that is an official purveyor to the Imperial Household Agency.
These chopsticks are for entertaining guests.
Made from cedar, they are wrapped in a decorative chiyogami paper, adding color to your table.
The Ten-Kezuri style has one side of the handle cut diagonally, and the tip of the chopstick is rounded.
These chopsticks are often used in high-class restaurants and for entertaining guests.
Because they are well-made,
in our home,
instead of using them as disposable chopsticks,
we use them as cooking chopsticks or for noodles.
