Shimenawa Wreath, Set of 3
44.88 $
Description
This is a sacred rope (shimenawa) made with igusa (rush grass) for New Year's decorations, Shinto rituals, and wreath-style shimenawa. It can be adjusted to fit between 12 cm and 70 cm wide for small shrines and home altars by moving the binding band sections left or right. For the shimenawa's decorative tassels (shimenoko), adjust their spread by moving the black threads, tied in a man's knot (otoko musubi), up and down. Three spare binding bands are included, so you can trim excess length if the overall size is a concern. It comes with paper streamers (shide). This would also be suitable as a shimenawa wreath for your entrance. Thank you.
