For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel them to create these toys.

Unlike other products, we do not hollow out the wood, scrape off the bark, or shave it, so we have received many happy comments about the hardness and how much dogs take to them!

Recommended for puppies who are in the teething phase, to prevent mischief, to stop them from chewing on shoes and clothes, and for those worried about their dogs destroying their homes.

We've made a set of two, one pearwood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

Left: Zelkova, approx. 11.8 x 1.2-1.3 cm

Right: Pear, approx. 12.2 x 1.2-1.6 cm

Please note that these are amateur measurements and may have errors.

Please compare the size to your dog's mouth size and the size of their current plush toys or balls.
For dogs in the teething phase, Japanese dogs, and active breeds, a slightly thicker diameter that they can just barely hold in their mouths will allow them to enjoy it for longer.

Pearwood branches are less likely to have splinters, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed.
These pearwood branches are peeled one by one and dried for two years in Niigata Prefecture.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branch parts are sanded with a belt sander (sanding paper), but please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.

As they are made of wood, your dog's teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring their mouth. However, please ensure your dog plays with them under supervision.

Please refrain from purchasing if your dog has fruit allergies.
