For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel the bark to create these toys.

Since we do not hollow out the wood, peel the bark, or shave it, we have received many happy comments that the hardness and chewability are different from other products ?

We've made a set of two, one pear wood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

Zelkova (left): approx. 13.6 x 1.8-2.0 cm

Pear (right): approx. 18.3 x 1.9-2.5 cm

Please note that these are amateur measurements and may have errors.

Please consider the size in consultation with your dog, taking into account their mouth size, the size of their current toys (plush toys or balls), and their chewing strength.

For dogs in the teething stage, male Japanese dogs, and active breeds with strong chewing power, a slightly thicker branch that they can barely grip will provide longer enjoyment.

Pear wood branches are less likely to have thorns sticking out, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed as it is fruitwood.

The bark of pear branches from Niigata Prefecture was peeled one by one and dried for two years.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file). However, please understand that there may be overlooked imperfections, or cracks and splits due to excessive drying.
As it is wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no danger of injuring their mouths. However, please allow your dog to play within your sight.
Please refrain from use if your dog has fruit allergies.
