For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel them to create these toys.

Unlike other products, we do not hollow out the wood, peel the bark, or shave it, so we receive many happy comments about the hardness and how much dogs take to them!

Please note that measurements are approximate and may vary.

Please compare the size to your dog's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For dogs in the nipping stage, Japanese dogs, and active breeds, a thickness that they can just barely grip will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time.

Pearwood branches are less likely to have splinters, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed.
The branches are peeled one by one from pear trees grown in Niigata Prefecture and dried for two years.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file), but please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to over-drying.

Since they are wooden, your dog's teeth will not be damaged, and if you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring their mouth. However, please supervise your dog while they play.

Please refrain from purchasing if your dog has fruit allergies.
