Kinko-ryu Yozan Me Shakuhachi (B Tuning)
299.00 $
Description
This is a 2 shaku 1 sun shakuhachi made by Yohzan Hikiji, a renowned craftsman popular both domestically and internationally for his shakuhachi that are easy to play.
With the tone unique to a long shakuhachi, both low and high notes resonate well, producing a deep and rich overtone that sounds pleasant.
I tried playing the Kinko-ryu honkyoku pieces Azuma no Kyoku and Akita Sugagaki as a test, and it's great to have a shakuhachi of this size.
Additionally,
I played the Katsuya Yokoyama honkyoku pieces Tamuke and Mitani, and it was fully capable of special techniques such as chiu chiu.
This is an ideal shakuhachi for those who prefer solo performance with a long shakuhachi, and it would also be wonderful for quietly playing Kaidōkyoku and Komusō pieces alone.
This Yohzan-mei shakuhachi is listed at a bargain price.
