The wood grain is beautiful, and although there are signs of use on the ito-maki (string winders), the tone is good.
The gold inlay and Ayasugi-do (a type of dou or resonator) contribute to good sustain in the high-frequency range.
*The back of the taiko (drum) is torn, so please have it re-covered or cover it with white cardboard, etc.
It produces a clear sound even as is.
This item is being listed because the previous owner has retired from performing.
