This is a self-made illuminated reed for the hichiriki. The hichiriki reed and the candle on the right (made by Tanaka-ya) are not included.
Using a candle when shaving the hichiriki reed prevents damage to the reed.
The tip of the acrylic resin candle illuminates and shines through the reed, allowing you to clearly see the shaving progress and make adjustments smoothly.
The Tanaka-ya candle is shown for size comparison.
Requires 2 AAA batteries.
Batteries are not included.
