The Shinonome Tou-Ryoumaki is a tuned flute made with excellent bamboo aged for about 5 years. It is traditionally crafted with rattan bindings around the head and mouthpiece, preserving the bamboo's natural form.
Tuned to the Do-Re-Mi scale, its sound quality is comparable to that of a Shinobue.
The interior is finished with synthetic lacquer. As you use it, the bamboo will gradually change to a tortoiseshell color, making it a cherished instrument that you can use for a long time.
