Description
Fender Champion 600 Guitar Amplifier
This is a reissue of the Champ, a small vacuum tube amplifier that existed in the 1940s.
It's a small, all-tube combo amp with 5W output and simple controls with just one volume knob. Despite its cute, retro appearance, it can produce sound from low volumes suitable for practice at home to sufficiently loud levels. Compared to the vintage original, this reissue is more durable because the rectifier tube has been replaced with a diode.
Please check the images for the exterior condition. It is confirmed to be in normal working order and produces sound. There is a slight crackle in the volume knob, but it is not noticeable. This should be resolved with pot cleaning.
The speaker has been upgraded to a JENSEN C6V (impedance matched at 4Ω), producing a crisp and pleasant sound. The speaker cable has also been replaced with BELDEN.
The original leather handle had deteriorated and crumbled due to age, so it has been replaced with a synthetic leather handle.
