In Japanese mythology, the figure who saved the famous White Rabbit of Inaba.
Okuninushi-no-Kami, who has numerous episodes, is revered not only for blessings such as medicine, agriculture, and matchmaking, but also as a god of warding off evil and disasters, having overcome many trials and calamities.
Furthermore, because Okuni can also be read as Daikoku, and his appearance carrying the bag from the time of the White Rabbit of Inaba resembles that of Daikokuten, he came to be identified with Daikokuten.
