Description
Vintage Weller Baldin Apple Bud Vase Sculpted Marked WELLER on Bottom, Beautifully reflects the naturalistic design elements typical of the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movement. Featuring a slender neck with a tree bark texture that twists down into a bulbous base. The base features low relief embossed apples nestled among detailed green foliage. Finished in a signature satin matte glaze consisting of autumn inspired earth tones. Part of the Baldwin art pottery line by Weller made between 1915-1920. Preowned with wear mainly on the bottom with rough spots, chips. There is a darker mark on one of the apples which appears to be part of the manufacturing and there are a few tiny glaze pinholes from the firing process, which is normal for handmade pottery.
