Takatori Ware is a pottery passed down in Toho Village, with a history of about 400 years.
Among them, the Takatori Ware Soke is a kiln directly descended from First, continuing to protect traditional techniques. The glaze manufacturing method incorporates dedication and secret techniques, passed down only to successors through a secret manuscript transmitted from master to disciple.
This is a sake vessel modeled after the large sake cup from the Fukuoka folk song, Kuroda Bushi. It is a vessel unique to the Takatori Ware Soke, which was the official kiln of the Kuroda domain.
