Antique bobbin lace doily, likely from Belgium or Italy, dating to around the 19th century.

This charming, flower-shaped round doily features a delightful floral design, with countless blossoms radiating from the center towards the outer edge. Its authentic and nostalgic aesthetic evokes a lovely garden.

The bobbin lace showcases a graceful and captivating floral motif, where central flowers extend their stems to adorn the rim with a variety of smaller blooms. The edge flowers might even resemble cherries.

Crafted from fine yarn, the motifs feature delicate openwork along the petals and stems. The stitches are not tight, resulting in a slightly airy and gentle weave with soft, elegant curves.

The open spaces are filled with a mesh bridge created with thicker yarn than the surrounding floral elements.
