Antique Bruges Bobbin Lace Rose and Clover ☘ Pair of Cuffs - Also for Framing

A beautiful pair of Belgian antiques.

From the water city of Bruges,
these elegant bobbin lace cuffs are
offered as a matching set.

More substantial than Honiton lace (of English origin),
we imagine these to be Duchesse lace.

A classic rose is featured in the center.
Four four-leaf clovers ☘ are intricately woven
in graceful curves, surrounding the rose
from the sides and below.

The openwork eyelet pattern is delicate and airy.

Small picot lace adorns the three-sided motif lines
of flowers and leaves, creating a delicate impression.

The color is a gentle, soft ecru,
a pale yellowish ivory.
It also seems to have a color acquired over time.

Crafted from smooth, soft, high-quality linen yarn,
or possibly a linen and cotton blend.

There are some areas with a slightly dark tone
at the raised points where the motifs connect,
but there is no damage such as stains, tears, or rips.
They are in very good condition.

Considering their age and the care taken in their creation,

Place them on a table, chest, or cabinet.
