PULCINELLA and POLIZIOTTO Doll - Purchased in Italy
36.66 $
Description
These are Pulcinella and Poliziotto police officer dolls from Italian piazza street performances, often seen during festivals. Pulcinella is a traditional Neapolitan character known for his sharp tongue and cunning, wearing a black mask and loose white clothing. The police officer tries to catch Pulcinella, but Pulcinella always retaliates with his wit and cleverness.
I was delighted to find these at a shop in Italy and purchased them. They've been displayed on a shelf, but as I've acquired more items, I'm now offering them for sale. You can also use them for puppet shows. Please note that there is age-related deterioration. I hope to find a buyer who understands this condition.
