Minister of International Trade and Industry Award Winner: Kara-jishi (Chinese Lion) Maki-e Folding Screen

Thank you for viewing.

This was received about 35 years ago along with a samurai warrior decoration.

The size is 87 cm wide and 85 cm tall (43 cm wide when folded), and they are a pair.

According to AI:
This is a lacquered art craft made with traditional techniques. The details of the text are as follows:

Honko Saku Maki-e Kara-jishi: Indicates that this is a maki-e (gold or silver powder sprinkled on lacquer) work depicting a Kara-jishi (Chinese lion), created by Honko.

Awarded Minister of International Trade and Industry Prize: This is a masterpiece created with high skill, having received the Minister of International Trade and Industry Prize.

Artist's Seal: A red seal is stamped, indicating a traditional craftsman or a specific artist.

We recommend this to those who appreciate art crafts.

*Rust is visible on the metal fittings of the folding part.
*Discoloration is visible on the metal fittings at the four corners.
Please check the images for details.

Furthermore, the outer box and protective cardboard show signs of age-related deterioration.
The outer box will be repaired with tape or similar materials for packaging during shipping.
The price is set considering the high shipping costs due to the size and weight.
(We plan to ship via Raku Raku Mercari Bin. If you wish to use Tanomeru Bin, which includes professional packing and insurance, it will be an additional 2500 yen. Please consult us before purchasing.)

As this is an old item and my judgment is that of an amateur, please understand that there may be overlooked minor scratches and dirt.

Thank you very much.
