This is a wooden chest of drawers with carvings.

It is a chest of drawers for kimonos that my grandmother bought for my mother about 40 years ago. It is a high-quality item with excellent airtightness, where closing one drawer causes another to pop out. The kimonos stored inside were also in very good condition.

I was told the exterior is cherry wood and the interior is paulownia, but there are no certificates, and as an amateur, I am not entirely sure.

About 5 years ago, my mother had it cleaned at a furniture store before giving it to me. There are some stains that could not be removed even after cleaning.
As shown in photos 12 and 13, there is some lifting on the door rails, which causes a slight snag but does not significantly affect opening and closing.
