★ Price Reduced.

This is a giclée print by French artist Marcestel Squarciafichi, who was active both domestically and internationally.

Featured in the 2017 Art Yearbook.
Born in Paris in 1943, he was a Western-style painter.
In 1970, he first visited Japan and, inspired by the bleeding of sumi ink, began researching Oriental textile art. He also befriended Taro Okamoto and others, initiating cultural exchange with Japan. He perfected a unique technique that gave oil paintings the transparency and fluidity of tempera, completing a profound art form that fused Eastern and Western painting.
In 2003, he held the World of Marcestel Myths exhibition, and a collection of paintings, Japanese Myths by MARCESTEL, a culmination of his Kojiki series, was published and released worldwide.
He passed away in April 2023, but his unique style will continue to be loved.
