A richly detailed Julie hand-painted needlepoint canvas, identified as Persian Peony, design 132863. This beautiful floral composition features a lush arrangement of peonies, iris, tulips and smaller blossoms displayed in a blue-and-white vessel, surrounded by an elaborate Persian-inspired decorative border.  The palette is especially appealing, combining coral red, pink, lavender, deep blue, golden yellow, soft green and cream. The patterned border and floral lower panel give the design the appearance of a miniature textile or tapestry and offer plenty of opportunity for decorative stitches and specialty fibers.  The canvas is signed Julie along the lower edge and marked with the design number. I located this same design offered by a specialty needlepoint retailer as Canvas Persian Peony 132863, although it is currently out of stock.
